American pianist Sara Davis Buechner, one of the leading keyboard artists of our time, has been praised on four continents for her “intelligence, integrity and all-encompassing technical prowess”. On this evening, she returns to the SSO for Bernstein’s haunting Symphony No. 2 “The Age of Anxiety”, titled after W. H. Auden's poem of the same name. Also on the program is Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral”.
